Re: Do you like my game idea?

First off, new name. Sounds like Fallout: New Vegas . Looking over the plot of said game, there's a lot you should probably revise because of similarities between your proposal and the actual game. atomic blast like a nuclear bomb Just to point out, I don't know what else could make an atomic blast ...

Re: Newbie Qs - it does not seem kid friendly!

First, every mode we tried at home is far from kid friendly, as the defaults are either a first-person shooter with a shotgun (using the "Sandbox Launcher") or a first-person shooter with a pistol (using the "click me first" file.) That just doesn't seem right, especially when t...

Re: Creating Very Large Maps/Editing Them Quickly

I don't know what version you're using, but I thought this might've been added as a button in 2.8... but if it's not:

use the command /mapenlarge in the console and that should do it for you.

Re: Moving and Rotating Map Geometry

does not allow finer rotations. Also no matter what I type after rotate in the console I still end up only rotating in 90 degree increments. that's because rotating in 45 degree increments would distort geometry. Here's what you'd be looking at: original.jpg rotated.jpg As you can see, rotating in ...

Re: Program-In-Planning - your thoughts please!

mapping is supposed to be fun You're dragging this off-topic. While yes, using custom content is useful for a good map, if someone prefers to map a lot, then they'll do it with what they have. Look at the works of Arcones and Kid Matthew; they're both great mappers, and they use just what Sandbox p...

Re: Program-In-Planning - your thoughts please!

I suppose I could code a script instead, but it would depend on the language I have to use and how easy it is to pick up. If you mean a script for Sandbox, then you'd be doing it either in Cubescript (Sandbox's built-in scripting language, which is used to modify menus and such), or in C++ (source ...

Not quite. That's actually a considerably common request, and it's likely a variable within the source code. However, you can edit a model's configuration file (.cfg) to change the size of the model using the mdlscale ## command.

Re: Program-In-Planning - your thoughts please!

I think the code of PAS is written in C++. Yes, but from what I can tell, this is a separate program similar to those auto-scripters built by Leo and Venima from years past. AFAIK language shouldn't really matter here. 1. Load an archive file of .7z, .zip or .rar. Why? The program would need to dec...

Re: Moving and Rotating Map Geometry

last I checked, the flip keybind was changed from x to ctrl+x, if that doesn't work than you can select the geometry, select the axis to flip along, and use /flip in the console to get it done.

Re: Moving 2 or more corners at once?

@hirato: I don't think he has a middle mouse button to work with (laptop touchpad), unless you're referring to whatever workaround keybinds he's using.
