Hey thanks Tyche, I appreciate the interest! Hopefully I should have this done in time for this Wednesday when I need to present it in class. For the Theater itself, I need to finish the stage (which is coming along quite well). Once again, thanks for the Visual Tour, it has really helped me get the stage correct.

On the screenshots, Steam seems to take them much darker than they really are. So it is about twice as bright in-game than what the screens show.

I'm not quite sure what I'll do with this map once I finish it. I'm thinking of a small RPG or FPS game, or, if I lack the time, a simple walk-through of the theater (complete with an interactive guide).

Maybe this can be the base for your contest entry?

Your idea of a walk through sounds interesting. I don't know how you'd make a game of it.

Maybe, but its doubtful. I've downloaded another engine I want to check out along with Unity, plus I've taken the time to look at some GIMP tutorials. So besides learning about those three apps, I don't know if I'll be able to get around to a contest (especially if I want to work on DT).

*bows* Thank you, I thought it would be fun to not only create, but if it somehow did become a virtual tour that people used... well, that would be cool.

Well, it would be medieval period and I would build a town around the theater... although whether its just for running around and chatting or it has an actual plotline I don't know.

EDIT: I had considered creating a town with little boards between buildings, or even small jumps, allowing the player to cross all over the map without touching the ground. That itself would be unique I believe.

what are you looking to do with GIMP? I could provide some more tutorials, plus some links to some useful plugins (e.g. a normal map one)

that vaguely reminds me of some books I read about a kid who got around town by "highstacking"- basically parkour where he would just jump from rooftop to rooftop.

I've downloaded the Grit Engine, which allows open world (true open world) creation. It is not real-time like Sandbox, but uses the import method like Unity.

Sure, if you're willing to send them to me ;D

Yup, that was the impression I felt for the map (what am I, some sort of map whisperer?) :P

That looks pretty good, arcones. I wish you the best with the grade for your project. It shows that you put a lot of work into it, and a lot of detail.
