It certainly is nice to get to see new screens every day of your terrific work. I have started posting some at moddb as well. What degree are you working on and where do you currently work? If it isn't too private anyway :D Take care and best of luck with everything that is going on!

Hi Mike,
I am currently in graduate school working on my masters of computer science. I work as an Adjunct teacher for the local colleges around my city, I currently teach at the Associates level. Once I finish my masters I will move on to get my PHD, and then I will apply for a professorship so I can be a professor of computer science.

Always~

That's really interesting that you and I are following a similar career path. I'm thinking about going for my masters in technology so that I can teach at the grade school level or college level or both. I love teaching at schools, but even when I subbed there is just so much craziness going on with the adults and such. I currently teach game design at a local college as an adjunct, though work has been more infrequently lately. At least I make it up a bit when doing the various summer camps using Sandbox. If I go after my masters I should have a much easier time landing a position since there are a lot of teaching jobs out there but they almost all require a masters. Are doing your masters online or a local college? Also if you live down south and want to recommend your area or any place, haha, I am very much looking to make a southern migration out of NY, haha. Sorry to get off topic a little, if it continues much more I'll just PM you. Take care!

Dec 23 2009, Day 9

Today I worked on the architecture of my castle to refine its overall look; I also added some greenery and a fence. I need to work on getting alpha textures in the game so I can make a fence with graphics rather than models. I’m sure that would save me several thousand polygons.

I wish I knew how Will, I haven't used blendmap yet so I have no idea what tool to use to make it work.

I did mention blendmap a bit, I think in this thread (and how to use it) but for some more info and pictures you can check here:
viewtopic.php?f=15&t=388

I think that about covers it. To get the syntax to add them to your own textures just check out /data/default_map_settings.cfg Take care!
