Re: My development diary for Sandbox~
Its easier to world edit with this engine rather than Realm Crafter...am i right?
I recommend placing some large columns leading to the throne, just a thought.
Good luck!

Dec 19 2009, Day 5
Today I worked on the outside geometry and added water to the scene. I have been trying to find out how to use the other brushes that are included in Sandbox but so far I have only be able to get the square to work. I would really like to be able to use the circle and triangle brushes so I will keep digging through the doc’s till I find out how. Here is a screen shot of my progress.
Hi Gr1m,
well in Realm Crafter you can move all your geometry into the engine from your modeler (including lights and reflections) so there isn’t any extra stuff that you have to do. To me its easier to use Realm Crafter. Remember though, Realm Crafter is made for creating only one kind of game “MMORPG’s, and it is great for that! The editor in Sandbox reminds me of the A7 engine editor.
Always~

Eagle, nice but -- I had to work it in photoshop to be able to see it, I think you should add braziers along the bridge, no-one walks on a dark bridge :3
Did you learn how to push in the squares to make different shapes yet?

Re: My development diary for Sandbox~
Well I'm sure theres another way but, the way I do it is
go on the selected square you wish to push in, and hold the scroll mouse button, it should select 1/4 or 1/2 of that square depending on which direction you pull, then you can scroll it inwards to push the corner(s) to make other shapes.

Oh! I know what you are talking about Will, yeah I use that a lot, the easy way to do it is to hold the 'Q' button and just choose the corner you want to angle. What I was talking about are the other brushes that no one talks about around here (giggles) the ones you find in the \packages\brushes folder. They have Circle, noise, triangle and star in there. Why is everyone just using the cube? How do you select these brushes? Lets get these going and make some really cool stuff!

Re: My development diary for Sandbox~
This is where i let you down.
Those brushes are for blendmaps, like making stone blend with the ground instead of standing out, to make realistic cobble paths and such. or to make areas of the ground circular, you can't do geometry with those brushes sadly. BUT you CAN copy/paste previously created geometry and resize it to make things faster/easier.
This is the reason it's called the CUBE engine. haha. Who knows, maybe one day we'll create a way to use circular/triangular geometry. I'd love to see your map progress sometime, maybe you should send it over via PM.

Re: My development diary for Sandbox~
Well you can save your whole level as a obj file and it goes straight to "my_stuff"

Yeah...I'm sure there is a way to import/export the geometry. (:
