Need Help With Texturing

Post by Dean Aldworth »

Hey guys.. When im in Edit mode, and i hold Y, the textures quick menu doesn't appear.. Also, when i apply textures to a wall of a house, the texture is only applied to the face of that wall, and not to the insides of doors and windows.. Can anyone help?

I also noticed that my cursor is blue, and i don't know if thats how it was when i started. But when I view the tutorials, then their cursor is always black-- maybe it has something to do with that?
Thanks a lot. :D ;)

The Texture menu is F2 in Editmode. I'm not sure why you would be using y :P

The reason it only applies to one side is because you have selected the other sides of the house. It's that simple. And yeah, the cursor is blue, you don't really need to worry about that as it's changed a couple of times before ;D

When you want to apply a texture to all selected blocks on all sides, type /allfaces 1 before applying the texture, to turn this off, just type /allfaces 0 and it's off ;)

Ahh arcones, there is a reason he is using Y, to place a texture with Y hold Y and scroll with your mouse wheel.
As for what runescapeDJ said, instead of typing commands all the time push Shift and 0 "Zero" at the same time, this will toggle allfaces on and off.

Cheers,
Matthew
