Re: Hello, my name is Vincent
Thanks a lot for the nice and unexpected compliments.
I had a lot of free time recently, which I dedicated to creating this map.
@tyche: I didn't use any custom textures, only the stuff provided by PAS.
Not sure yet when and how I'll release it. I still have a few ideas I'd like to add, and will also maybe to create/find some models to make the garden look more Chinese. (ex: red lamps)
I'd also like to make it some kind of rpg/puzzle solving game which would encourage the player to explore every edge of the map to find hints
Is there a specific place/repository where maps/games can be submitted ?
It would be great to have a website where people can share maps/games and rate/comment them.
It seems there is only an image gallery on the PAS website.
Cheers,
Vincent

Howdy. Currently submitting them to me is the generally the fastest way to do it. You're right about having a good place to host them. I was in the process of creating a sort of sandbox social network but I got distracted by other things as usual haha. That way people can basically create portfolios right on their pages with the maps, images, etc, and also it would have a global homepage that is showing people's updates. Perhaps even further there should be a place just for maps and content. Since it seems to be more in demand these days I can definitely see about getting it set up Ideas are welcome of course Take care!

@mike: yes, good idea. Then even later hosting maps/games could be an addon.
@kid matthew: Thanks. Actually my free time comes from the fact that I have moved and switched my job. But soon I'll start with the new job and will also have less time for mapping :-/

That is a beautiful map! One of the best I've seen - that takes a lot of skill. I feel like I could never do something as good as that
I'm taking modelling requests again - any models you want created, skinned or animated (or all 3) leave a post here:

Looking good, both your chinese garden thingy and that other pics, seems like you can make pretty good maps, but I recommend looking at http://sandboxgamemaker.com/wiki/index. ... ing_Taboos ---> Deformation glitches
And there's a way to make to make two textures flow into each other more realistic, but I forgot how, you can ask in IRC, but other than that: Great job, I love the bridge above the ravine

Thanks a lot.
I am aware of the glitches issues. When I created that map I planned to add stuff in the middle, so I didn't take time to clean out the glitches.
