Hirato's Entry - Hallows

Post by Hirato »

Silly me, apparently this is a "make the scariest map" contest and I thought it was just Halloween themed.
Regardless, I present to you the very sombre, "Hallows".
It is a quick map/town I made for this competition with the intention of embodying All Saints Eve and some of the religious rituals that took place them.

There are TWO versions of this, make sure you know the difference
The first is a package containing only the new stuff and is meant to be installed on top of sandbox - this required a version newer than 2.7.0 though
The second is a standalone package that should also serve as an example of how to package games.
You will require 7zip to extract these archives, windows users can obtain it from their webpage and Linux users can install the p7zip package provided by their distro

If i had the time, which I do not, I would've brought much more life to the town, having people walk around, some carrying torches. I would've added plenty of dialogue and interactivity so you could pay respects and what not, etc.

Downloads
Standalone (recommended)
Content only (requires a version newer than 2.7.0)

Looks pretty good. Too bad the forum won't let me vote.

I vote that we disqualify Hirato. His maps are just too good. :D

Could use some detail, but that's because Hirato said he didn't put much time in it, but still ;)
