Cloud Strife character - HELP :/

Post by ChrisTheDestroyer »

Hello, I'm relatively new to Blender and I simply want to replace my character in Sandbox with a Cloud Strife model. I followed many turorials and I think my problem is I'm not exporting it correctly. If anyone wouldn't mind could you take this model and export it so its ready for use with sandbox? Its a really nice one and I don't mind sharing. Download: http://www.mediafire.com/folder/4y0rbx53pcru9/Documents any feedback is appriciated Thanks (fixed link)

The link didn't work for me. However, I can help out if you can be more specific about ur model. In what format are you trying to export it?

Thanks for the reply , Well every tutorial I've read said the format needs to be (.md3,.md5) but perhaps I'm missing a neccessary file. Here's a link that should work: http://www.mediafire.com/folder/4y0rbx53pcru9/Documents sorry for the inconvenience.

Here is it, i see that you didn't separate the mesh. Each texture need to be assigned to different mesh. Just separate by material in edit mode after select all.

tell me if the link is broken

Thanks a ton, he does have multiple textures. Hopefully that won't be an issue when trying to put him in sandbox. But again thank you

Wow great job, the scripting is beautiful. I've never heard of .iqm format, but I like it. If you don't mind me asking what version of sandbox are you running? I believe i will have to use the same for this to work.

2.8.2 the latest of course but I think it support iqm format a long time ago. Since it is created by the same developer of the engine.
