Multiple triggered platforms

I have no problems making elevators but I am having difficulty having multiple platforms and triggers. Changing the tags obviously doesn't work because the elevator or platform entities only respond to trigger_tag 1 so the first trigger I hit activates every platform ent in the level. Does anybody know how to lock individual triggers to their intended platform only and no others?
