There is, make a box, press it, hold down Q, the cube will jave a transformation as you scroll down with the middle button on the mouse.

I select a cube, press Q, nothing happens?

You have to use your mouse's "scroll" wheel, the thingy between the left and right click. You have to scroll it towards, or away from you for the cube to move.

and it's made with a smaller grid size 2, change grid size by holding 'g' and scrolling
