I can't extract the file to start sandbox

Post by artistunknown »

I downloaded sandbox 2.5 but when I try to start it, it says the file has to be extracted, so I click extract, but then it says the file can't be extracted. I have windows vista, if that helps any.

do you have 7zip? If not go to

http://www.7-zip.org/

and download and install it. Once you have one that, go to your sandbox file, right click and 7zip should be an option, select extract files. This should create an ordinary folder called platinum arts sanbox something. Double click the file that says CLICK_HERE_TO_BEGIN and that should be you

Hope I helped,
Owen.

Ok I got the 7zip thing downloaded and installed, but it still says I can't extract it as an archive. Is there anything else I can do?

ok when you double click on it, 7-zip's self extracting archive comes up? Does the error happen before or after this comes up

I think it comes up for a split second, and then the error happens.

that is strange

well I packaged up my pa sandbox and im goin to upload it to a site, and from there you can download it, and hopefully that will work :)

Only problem is it might take an hour or two to upload

Sound good? - If even this doesn't work theres something wrong with you computer lol , but this should work

In the meantime, you could try re-downloading it?
