Killing Npcs

So how do i make it where.. like

How do i make it were i can attack it and it will attack me back?
and i can make the npcs like when the idle they just walk around in a random location

Is that model animated for a start? If its not, your going to need to animate it before having him walk about

its probably not, I hate to tell you, and thats probably what you will have to do before he walks about anywhere :s
