I looked quite a bit up and down these forums, but could not find a post that answered my question.
Can a finished or partially finished game be saved to a CD or Flash drive and how is this done?
I am teaching a course using this program and we would like to save the games the kids make to disk, but not sure how to do that.

Re: Saving to disk
In order for Sandbox to run, you need the entire program plus the map files you want to play. It is possible to put Sandbox on a USB (flash drive), and even a disk (but that depends on the amount of storage). The map files are the ones found in mystuff/packages/base, and end in .ogz and .cfg, with .bak (backup files) included.
Does that help?
Does that help?

Re: Saving to disk
It does help, but to add to the question, if the student has Sandbox on their home computer, is it possible to just copy the game to disk and have it run. If so, does the program need to be already open or is it possible to insert the disk, then choose the program to open the game in?

*Falls over in happiness*
You searched the forum before posting a question!
I do believe you made my day
Anyway the program could 1) Be on the students computer already 2) Be on the disk and you could just open it from there or like CP said, could be on a FD.

Re: Saving to disk
it's best to copy those map files onto the computer and then use the computer's launcher. That's what I do
