Ogro - how do I invert my mouse?

Post by guises »

I feel kinda silly asking this, but I can't find and control settings on the options screen in Ogro other than mouse sensitivity. How do I invert my mouse?

what do you mean by invert it? Like change the cursor color? And what's that about the ogro? Master Chef Ogro?

Yes, Master Chef Ogro. What I meant was, I'd like to invert the Y axis. So pushing forward on the mouse moves the cursor down, and pulling back moves the cursor up. This is frequently referred to as an inverted mouse, though I guess that varies from person to person.

I'm sorry, but I don't know. You're probably gonna have to wait for a bit about this. I've never heard of someone doing this with Sandbox.
Why do you want it like that?

Why is a difficult question. This was, at one time, the most common method of control. When flight simulators started to decline in popularity and first person shooters really took off, for some reason many people switched from using an inverted to a non-inverted mouse. Personally, I think it has to do with where you imagine yourself to be relative to the screen. Regardless, I never converted - a non-inverted mouse has never felt natural to me.

Wow, you guys are useless :/

guises: the command you want is /invmouse 1
Personally I find this control scheme really really weird and abnormal for FPS games.
Nonetheless I'll add an option into the menus to simplify it in the future.
This is not a url, clicking it is pointless

he really needs to set up a list with all of those, other than the editing reference. half of the ones he has, I usually can't find on the list.
