Saved over a level
Saved over a level
I just saved over 6 hours of work. I know; it's dumb. Is there a way to retrieve a previous save? I know there are files in the "base" folder. Please help.

Re: Saved over a level
go to the base folder and take a yourmapname.bak file if you had saved it before...
Re: Saved over a level
as of 2.4, all user content is saved inside the my_stuff folder, (if you're on win vista/7, and lack writing permissions, it'd be inside virtualstore)
just delete the version inside this folder, and it should load up the original

This is not a url, clicking it is pointless
Re: Saved over a level
I am running sandbox 2.4 on windows XP. I deleted the most recent BAk and cfg files but it still loaded the new save. Is there something I have to do to the .ogz file? (I have no "my_stuff" folder. all my files are in "base")
Thanks for the help.

Re: Saved over a level
my bad, I thought you overwrote the original stuff...
you need to rename the most recent .BAK stuff to the valid names, ie blah_13123123.BAK to blah.ogz
so you might've just deleted your work...
