The music.

Post by rgangsta »

I have two questions.

1) I like the songs in the engine (especially Artificial World. I'm listening to it now :P). They make me feel relaxed. Would it be wrong if I put the songs in my RPG Maker VX game? I would give credit, of course. Is there someone I can ask to borrow the music? And will it cost anything to use it?

2) How can I import my own music into the engine?

Thank you for your time, RGangsta. :P

I personally think most of the music is from www.newgrounds.com (Newgrounds is NOT kid friendly)
and is either under the CC license, or permission was given, or some other related license.

I read it today. It said this:

"Attribution: You must give credit to the artist.
Noncommercial: You may not use this work for commercial purposes unless you make specific arrangements with the artist under another license.
Share Alike: If you alter, transform, or build upon this music, you may distribute the resulting creation only under a license identical to this one."

I'm guessing what it's saying is that if I'm selling my game, I should have the permission of the author of the music, and I should give credit to the author if I use it or edit it, therefore posting a licencese like the one above. So as long as I don't sell it, I don't need arrangements with the author. I'm going to give credit, of course.
