Re: Flipping Mapmodels on the Z Axis

Alright. So far Blender seems to be having problems opening an MD3 file. (I'm editing one of the default models from sandbox) MD3 isn't even on the list of imports. Now I do have the scripts in there for exporting the MD3 files (though I could never get it to work), so I'm not sure how I should go a...

Flipping Mapmodels on the Z Axis

Instead of rotating the models to the left and right, is it possible to rotate them up and around (kind of like what you can do if you rotate blocks by pressing CTRL+R). If not, is there a way I can edit the model's file so it appears flipped in a direction I would want? If not, I won't hesitate to ...

Re: Accidentally saved over my map

Haha, yeah, I'll take note of that in the future. I actually solved the problem. All you have to do is take the .BAK file, and change the filetype to .OGZ. It works like a charm now. However, I do have another question, and it would be how to set up my own map for a multiplayer mode. I put up a serv...

New Question

It's a long story, but basically I accidentally saved my current work over a blank map (thus losing that entire week of work). I was wondering on how I could use my most recent .bak and .cfg file (the save before my recent save) to load the older save before I went and made the big mistake. I've loo...

Re: Custom Texture Problems

Alright, it was the bumpmap that I had to remove, (and something else I think I left out) so that works fine too now, everything's nice and smooth. :P Also, the textures I have can be found here [* link removed *] They're from the game Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts. Rare did an amazing job on detail...

Re: Custom Texture Problems

Hah, actually, I just have one more question to ask (now that it works and all). When I loaded the textures, every single one I load has this really weird cobblestone marking on it, with every texture I seem to load. Should I change the coding on the file from '0' to something else, or can I not do ...

Re: Custom Texture Problems

Oh god, wow. I just archived it to send to you, and noticed I named the cfg file Packages.cfg.cfg. Now it works fine. Wow, I feel like an idiot. But hey, if you want to use the textures for something, let me know. Though they're just from an actual game. :P Problem solved, sorry for being such a has...

No problem. Do you need just the package file, or will you need the textures as well to test it out on?

Re: Custom Texture Problems

Are you executing your package?, if not go to data > default map settings, and list your path to your texture package. Gr1m  Yup, I made sure and set it at the bottom of the code of the default map settings (as the tutorial implies). However, whenever I start Sandbox up, (and load any type...

Custom Texture Problems

Hey, new member here and I currently have a question for the custom textures. I'm using Sandbox 2.5 (On Windows 7) and whenever I go to load any of my custom textures, it always says it fails to read the file location (every file is put in its correct spot as well). It's getting quite frustrating as...
