I think you simply lost them in termanology Leo. Folks. these are not textures meant to stay visable. you replace em with other textures after you finished making that part of your game. these make it easier to see what you are working on during the Dev eloppement phase, thus the term Dev-Texture. it was originally made in 2.5 (just put stuff in apropriat folders)
no changes were made for the 2.6 version on it what so ever (its just a map)

What grim is saying it to use the command called mapenlarge. this will double the area of your map.
Just press the button normally found above your tab key, this should bring up the command promp with a /
then type in mapenlarge and hit enter
