Crashing when joining multiplayer games

I have just reinstalled the 3d game maker version 2.5 for the 3rd time, everytime i try to connect to my friends multiplayer server its unable to connect after a few retries. Whenever i am able to actually connect my screen goes to a flatgrass area to all white background with rain falling to unable...
