Re: Just installed 2.8
@ticker Windows is sort of the second class citizen - you've got tons of inconvenient BAT files, a stdout.txt (no console output), and development is rather cumbersome due to that and other factors... But OS X, by comparison is the red-headed stepchild, and as such you're unfortunately by your lone...

Re: Just installed 2.8
I tried out the Multiplatform build on an iMac running OSX 10.7.4 - using the Sandbox Launcher from Nov. 2010 (10.2 Mb) that works OK for both 2.6.1 and 2.7 versions on the same Mac. First, it froze my machine then on re-boot put up weird text dialogs as if the keyboard was re-mapped. Had I been abl...

Re: How To Make Video Games Article
Mike, I like the concept of writing articles about the process of game design. Please don't be deterred by comments such as those Josh_McH made regarding the format. As an engineer he probably wants 'how-to' bullet points, which is fine for purely procedural stuff, but may be completely unsuitable w...

Re: Platinum Arts Sandbox Free 3D Game Maker 2.7 Feedback Fo
Your statement is pure conjecture, sandbox is as compatible with OS X as it has always been. The problem is that everyone on the team is completely apathetic towards mac. We do not wish the use the platform, nor own it or let alone buy it for the sole purpose of preparing OS X binaries for sandbox....

Re: Platinum Arts Sandbox Free 3D Game Maker 2.7 Feedback Fo
I'd put my hand up, but I'm still getting my head around Xcode. One other question, tho'; recent releases that have a multi-platform mode only run in Windows or Unix, while previous ones ran with Mac included. Is this due to Mac platform upgrades getting too far away from a unix kernel?

Re: Platinum Arts Sandbox Free 3D Game Maker 2.7 Feedback Fo
Thanks for the effort, Mike and the team. Anyone working on a Mac binary for 2.7? (say, Popinman?)... anyways, I'll check the PC version out in the meantime.

Re: Hi Sandboxers!
Thanks for the script, InHumanUnit.
Now I need to know how to activate Zombie with a console call, or maybe with a cfg script? Any help there?

Re: Does this actually work on a mac?
Sounds like you've managed to get the 2.3 version working, leschnel. My suggestion was actually to get 2.3 up and running by NOT using the launcher included with the 2.3 download to launch it, but to use the later (and larger) version of the launcher instead. Don't know why this worked for me but it...
