Re: D. The Atom Shifter?

Just goes to show how plans can change quickly and why nothing planned around here ever gets finished. The plan didn't change completely. I want to join a game competition again and want to push PAS's publicity. Its sad that most pas Projects are abandoned or never finished that's all this engine n...

Re: D. The Atom Shifter?

Which other projects are you talking about? I think there were plans for a waterwars campaign-style game, and then there's everybody else's projects which have never been finished. Hey, the next MiniLD starts tomorrow: http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/ What about creating a quick game with PAS for it...

Re: Some questions about P.A.S. progress

Hm, hasn't really to do with the topic, but one could implement "random" NPC. PAS allows you to assign random stats to them. Also you could create a script assigning a random name I may do this later, since I'm really interested in procedurally-generated content. That would speed up the p...

Re: Some questions about P.A.S. progress

I think we can interest people e.g. out of the Linux Open Source community. As much as that's a nice idea, I think most people wishing to work with a Cube 2 flavor would go with Red Eclipse or Sauerbraten first. Our biggest arguement is that we have an advanced RPG mode :D A lot of people dream of ...

Re: DEVELOPMENT POLL: Names or Indices?

Okay, I've got the first iteration hammered out on git, it needed about 1800 lines worth of changes too, and that's not even including the files moved around. It's ready for testing if anyone wants to go ahead, but it's not yet on the sandbox SVN, I'll do that once kddekadenz and friends have had s...

[...]and there's nowhere near enough active members to contribute properly as we once could. We need to support people contributing code pieces on github: https://github.com/Hirato/lamiae I think we can interest people e.g. out of the Linux Open Source community. Also I will encourage any programme...

Re: DEVELOPMENT POLL: Names or Indices?

Nope. The performance issue is completely unrelated, that was 100% with you; you and the rest of the kelgar team tried to make models invisible by using models that didn't exist, this meant it tried to load the model every time it was drawn, and then failed, causing a massive hit to performance. I ...
