Re: Hello all! :3

Hello jacob. Welcome aboard. I'm sure you will have questions. I know I did when I started. Feel free to ask questions in the Sandbox Support section of the Forum. Also, if you have an IRC client, we can be reached at the server irc.oftc.net on the #sandbox channel. Just realize that it may take som...

Re: New to Sandbox, have a simple request.

Quick answer - look in the options (main menu, where you would load a map from).

Long answer, if you open it using the launcher then you can choose the resolution. Make it one smaller than your screen size (allow for any panels, status bars, etc) and it will come in as windowed.

Re: Height Terrain Editor thing not working

OK, let's see if I can explain it to you. There are 2 ways to select a square (or block, depending on how you look at it). The first is to click on it with the left mouse button. Changes then affect the whole block. The second way is to select a corner area with the MIDDLE mouse button (the scroll w...

Re: need help with sand box

OK, we have a particular problem with the Mac distribution - we don't have any Mac programmers. The result is that we have to rely on experienced Mac users to come in and compile the program to run on Mac. One suggestion that's been made by one of our regulars is to use the 2.3 or 2.4 release, rathe...

Re: need help with sand box

I'd like to start with the basics: 1. What Operating System are you using (Microsoft Windows, Linux, Mac)? 2. What video card are you using and are the drivers up to date? 3. When you say, "it takes me back to where i cant open it", what do you mean? Try to describe where it takes you. We ...

Re: Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, and [insert name of holiday here] I would like to echo GR1M's sentiments. calimer and Hirato know just how much of a problem child I was when I came in here (I think it's a standing joke, now, when I can't get something to compile). Yet now I'm able to create text...

The Keep - Revision 2

And the work goes on. The Keep is meant to be a resort and conference area. The seven pictures starting with http://www.flickr.com/photos/22090195@N ... 989418062/ will give you some idea.

Re: The Keep - Revision 1

Just a suggestion, but the second screenshot showing the ramps can be very difficult to be seen, if you know what I mean. Walls and floor are all same color. In order to keep things more clear, it's necessary to have a separate texture for the floor, and it's recommended to have two textures for th...

Re: The Keep - Revision 1

You don't need to worry about the size of the pictures, tyche. As long as they are under 2MiB in size, you can upload them to the gallery and they'll automatically be re-sized to the maximum size allowed. ;) Obsidian, Some of them were over 2 Meg. Total size for the 6 pictures was about 12.6 meg. I...
