the lightmap doesn't seem to change as the sun rises. I wouldn't expect it to, but if it were possible to slowly fade between seperate lightmaps, you might be able to get some sort of neat effect. As far as I can tell, it denotes an entity that is controlled by the AI routines in /src/engine/monster.cpp
In the SP mode, it is an integer that corresponds to the monstertype
and it is set via scripting in the RPG game.

I'm still learning and studying how things work, so be skeptical......

How about making teleports a script-able action instead of the teleport automatically working ( although that would be the default action )? Make it so whenever teleport is called in a script, it immediately teleports the player directly to the teledest # given by the script. This should allow easy ...

Teleports and platform entities are how I handled the train in 'trainmap'. Hirato was very kind in rigging teleports to be able to pass platforms through for me.
