Perhaps you can edit the story line, or come up with a new idea?
I mean, if you are "borrowing" someone else's idea, you've got to be prepared to not be able to use it. I wouldn't go boomsticking up the entire town over it.

Flash isn't too hard to use, just look up some tutorials. It just takes a while to get the hang of.
