Yes, its basicly publishing the game, at a basic level. The getname function, was what i was mentioning. if you never use it in your map, you can get rid of the menu completely.

Its not the launcher (i don think it is) its loading a map.

I am using PAS on a windows XP home (i think, does it matter) edition. when i open up PAS using "CLICK_ME_TO_START.bat" it loads the menu GUI fine. when I open a map in the gamemaker, the whole map loads, and then instantly shuts down. no error messages, no frozen computer, it just closes ...
