Re: How to publish the game? and gui related questions.
Good questions. Most of which have been addressed at least somewhat in the Wiki. You're going to want to get comfy in the scripting bits of this, and as for packaging, there is an article about that in the Wiki too. An installer thing is another story. For that you may wanna get into a little Virtua...

Re: ZZYO Texture Package – v.0.1 Beta
512 seems to be about right. Big enough to get some detail in, and small enough to stay relatively light. Even at that, most of these look best in-game scaled down to .1 .3, or .5 anyway. so 256 would be fine for many patterns. It's a learning process, a very many of these really need further refine...

ZZYO Texture Package – TIPS
Some of these specmaps are very hot. If you are having trouble with them being too shiny, try this: Open the file associated with the image set, it will be the one on a line that says: texture s It will also be appended with this: _s.png Open that up in your image editor. Set your bucket-fill to hex...

Re: ZZYO Texture Package – v.0.1 Beta
There happens to already be a folder named "tony'... And... how difficult is it to make a folder? For Windows users, all ya gotta do is save the zip file to the packages directory, and right-click it... choose "Extract to..." and Windows will make a folder automatically with the zzyo ...

ZZYO Texture Package – v.0.1 Beta
I ask you to please download this ZIP file first: http://www.mediafire.com/?rp9qv17w966r7mp This is the documentation and I’d really prefer that you do read it. This is a stand-alone, single-file HTML document. You can extract it right to your desktop without fear of extra files or images cluttering...

The license will be Creative Commons Attribute 2.0 Generic. http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/2.0 And yeah... I was gonna try to avoid it... ...but if I am going to be producing a lot of graphics for this project, I'll have to set up a domain or sub-domain to serve it up from. I can't do the fr...

Re: Textures for Your Game!
I've tested, re-tested, tweaked, re-done, and thoroughly gone over these things about 97 times each. Even if a diffuse map is perfectly seamless, when applying the other maps together, everything really has to be just right. I did have to re-edit a lot of the diffuse maps to get it right. It has bee...

Re: Textures for Your Game!
Yes, most are 3 or 4 file textures. With a diffuse layer, normal layer, specular layer, and a displacement layer (bump/z). Some work out better without a displacement map, it's just too much on some of the textures. And some work best on just a diffuse map. Most though, are 4 files. I think it will ...
