Re: models

I tested the obj files without having the mtl file and you do not need them. I like keeping a mtl file with my obj files but it is not needed for Sandbox. I loaded the model "hang2" from modelpack19 (gross looking for sure) into Sandbox using these files. Remember to place the hangtwo fold...

Re: models

Unless we are not looking at the same modelpack (modelpack1). I rechecked and all obj files have a mtl file with them. Anyway, when I first got Sandbox it took awhile to sort out mapmodel loading out, from obj files, md2 files and md3 files. The reason the md2 files don't work is that internally the...

New skyboxes

Hi all I just made my first two skyboxes. They are nothing fancy but if you want to check them out, here they are. I will work on making some regular and dramatic skies as I have time. Edit: Darn license junk. I have so much software swimming around on my computer each with it's own license requirem...

Re: models

Yes, if you miss a step it will not work. Inside the his modelpack1 folder is where the mtl files are located, I got the pilaar model obj file and the .mtl file from his first model pack folder. Go back and check each step and be sure to include the mtl file inside your Sandbox folder that you creat...

Re: RPG Project *TGC* (The Golden Coin)

I enjoyed playing your level. The level was well thought out plus It kept you interested and the tension was good on having to make those jumps in the lava sections. Playing in single player mode like you said is part of the game choices. Some games are FPS and others RPG It's Just good to see a som...

Re: blendmap question

Here is a general answer. Blendmaps only work on the texture they are assigned to. That would be the ones with the little texture box in the lower right hand corner of the textue square in the selection list. You have to place the main texture on the areas you want to have a blendmap on. Then press ...
