RPG Project *TGC* (The Golden Coin)

i'm still learning about maplights, shadows, and things like that. I can build maps, (i posted some pics on here) but that's about the extent. I'm currently building a map which revolves around a village marketplace. It should turn out good, but the main reason i wanted to make it is b/c there are a bunch of mapmodels I haven't used and therefore want to know what mapmodel is good for what. (plus the windmill is just wicked cool! )

so, if someone could try and explain why maplights won't work for me and why i can't make shadows (aside me not understanding them ) i'd be really happy to help you Damian.

PS: have you tried to edit TGC by pressing \ ingame to open the console and insert edittoggle???

sorry, didn't explain myself.

I mean in PAS not in TGC. I can't figure out how to make lights or shadows in PAS. I now have PAS 2.5 so i think I'll give it a try. I want to work on lights in my maps that way I don't mess up anything in TGC.

I'm sorry offtools, for the moment I'm to busy to provide a linux version. But I have plans to release a linux version and a mac version in future.

Hey damian, as soon as I can download TGC then I'll start editing. but (maybe i'm not looking at it the right way... ) how will you get the maps I edit? is there a development version out there?

Tell me when you are ready, so I can send you the last map of tgc ... then you can edit it while I'm busy with scripts(quests, weight system, ...)

ok, I Finally figured out lightmaps so I'd be happy to help. I'm working on my own little game at the moment as well but this could really spark my imagination!! I'm ready.

PROGRESS UPDATE #3

I can only say that the changes from the v0.103 to the v0.120 are amazing!!! Maybe I will change the name of the new release in v0.150 or even v0.200 !!
Can you imagine?
If you drink alcohol you become drunk And believe me! That's nothing guys
There will be an alchemy system!!! You can create magic potions or even poisons And believe me! That's again nothing!
Every ingame action has sound!!! If you drink wine, if you throw away a bread piece, if you eat an apple, if you destroy a bottle!!! And believe me! That's always nothing!

The bad think is that v0.120/v0.150 will not come out before the end days of february.
So, until the release day I wish you a nice play with v0.103
