so... is this going to be 3D, or a side-scroller/platforming kind of thing? You know how in first person side-scrollers, it's really hard to judge distance and stuff, so just wondering...

It's strictly first person, no third person capabilities (except dieing ). As this map (the legend airena) is legend mode oriented, the distance will be too far unless you hit the sweet spot. You'll get the hang of it, but it'll be hard. If you move slightly left or right upon jumping, you'll miss the next platform by mere inches! This will also include a few "wall-climbs" (jumppads).

Cool. Sounds like a first person Super Mario Bros game, like this one:

Similar in the way you proceed from one platform to the next, but different in the fact that the scale is much MUCH bigger and the platforms are farther apart. I'll try and post screenies in the next couple days.

School starts next week for me, so I need to get a bit more mapping in!

I've finished the FIRST Legend mode airena (complete with lightmaps and textures) but I'm holding off on the scripting for now. I can put it up for a preview download for you guys if you want!
