@Leo: You can dive into lava and live. I think it's the /nastylava command. you need to type in /nastylava 0 to get it to work. The only problem is that respawn doesn't work either, so if you use the command, you can't die unless you fall off a cliff, and even then, I don't know about that.

Yeah, it is, I use it on volcanic sidequests. Save the princess trapped in the lava-filled volcano!

Didn't I ask you that forever ago? I was looking through an art-cfg file (It was a map from 2.3) and saw it. Tested it out, and Voila! Livin' in lava!
