Cataract Surgery

Well, folks, this is it. Tomorrow (Tuesday, August 3, 2010) I go in for surgery on my right eye to replace the lens. The eye will be covered with a patch from the end of surgery (7:00 AM!!! What do they think I AM?) until Wednesday morning. Then I'll be in the disorienting position of not being able to wear my glasses (because the prescription would be wrong for the right eye), and not being able to read without them (because the left eye still needs the prescription). And that will go on for at least 2 weeks until I can get a prescription, then whatever time necessary to make up the new glasses. However, I WILL be back as soon as I can (that's a threat, not a promise. Oh, wait . . . I don't make threats. OK, it's a promise, then). See y'all later.
