blendmap question
Re: blendmap question
Here is a general answer.
Blendmaps only work on the texture they are assigned to. That would be the ones with the little texture box in the lower right hand corner of the textue square in the selection list.
You have to place the main texture on the areas you want to have a blendmap on. Then press the "p" key to bring up your blendmap brush.
Replace is the default blendmap brush that loads when you press the "p" key. Press the "p" to cycle through the availabe type of brush types for blending. I found that inverted dig works quite well on blending your textures together.
Scoll the midde mouse wheel to select differents styles, sizes, hardness and softness of the blendmap brush.
The blendmapping feature works quite well, I assure you.... hope this helps.
You can make your own blendmaps but that will have to wait for a tutorial.

Re: blendmap question
Also you can change the brush that is used to paint by scrolling the mousewheel in blendmap mode. Check out the packages/brushes folder to make custom brushes. Take care!
