Requires Windows 7 Ultimate IIRC.

EDIT: From Microsoft's site:
You must have Windows 7 Professional, Enterprise, or Ultimate to run Windows XP Mode.
Leo_V117 wrote:Yeah, hopefully, im gonna see if i can email microsoft and see if they can fix it. Why dont we all make a post with all the problems were experiencing with Win 7?
Microsoft won't do jack about it, you've got to contact the manufacturer of your graphics card yourself about the problems you are having, and be prepared to jump through a bazillion hoops.

check sandbox's memory usage while it's running (windowed mode is a good idea for this)

since you're using an ATI card, the problem is possibly a memory leak in the drivers. if you notice that sandbox's memory footprint keeps increasing, either upgrade your drivers (if possible) or use SVN sandbox - there are 2 brute-force workarounds for ATI related crashes

@ Obsidian
You must have Windows 7 Professional, Enterprise, or Ultimate to run Windows XP Mode.
I use Ultimate, but im getting pro instead.

@ Hirato

And the card im using is from my XP machine, sandbox 2.5 worked perfectly on that. The only change is the processor and the RAM. that is components wise, as you already know im using win 7. Any suggestions as to what i could change to fix my problem, everything works fine, although the editor times out and closes after about 30 mins of editing. It was annoying before I created the autosave feature.

Leo, did you actually try what he said?

See if the memory use starts to quickly grow when playing.

Memory use was starting to rise when i opened the editor. It continued to rise with every movement.

and do you know what happens when it gets too high? it crashes! which should collude nicely with your 30 minute estimate.

now, why don't you try the suggestion I gave if this was the case?

It work for a few months then it shut down a few days ago after i got a windows 7 update for the windows 7

Edit: I know the best way to resolve it just stick with windows xp it runs fine normally
