This question has probably already been answered but I'm unable to locate it, I'm able to make doors open on my previous saved maps but when i make a new map and set the variables nothing happens?

Essentially you want your door to open when approached?

Okay, since I just worked on this today, I'm pretty sure I can answer this. Make sure you're not in co-op mode! If it's something to do with keys: Key opening door

If you're not, then look at this page: Trigger Types

Yeah i didn't have a problem figuring out the trigger types and where to put them its just i was confused why doesn't it work on co-op?

I've got no idea

...... I dunno, you'd think that since it technically should be like multiplayer, it would work.......
