Platinum Arts Sandbox - Free 3D Game Maker Forum

i love making games, and up until now i have been using a 2d rpg maker called rpg maker xp(or rmxp for short) and i kind of wanted to move on to making 3d.
so i am looking for a good program to use. i am just wondering about a few simple things when it comes to sandbox:

1. is it possible to use scripts to customize your games.

2. if i make a game and sends it to somebody, can they to edit it? or is it just me who can do that?

3. is it posible to make a fighting quest( for example: you have to obtain a legendary sword from a cave. when you pull the sword from the rock a dragon comes flying down, and you will have to kill it using a sword)

4. can i add lvls( combat, woodcutting etc)

1. Yes, it is. Look around through the forum, faq and wiki and you'll learn. I'd give you a tutorial, but it'd be too long.
2. Yes and No. I don't know how (yet), but you can remove the edit feature on games. Again, it'd be best to look around.
3. I don't think so, or not yet.
4. I'd need to know more, not to mention I don't know if you mean levels or minigames. You can add special teleporters in the scripting that takes you from map to map.

BTW: I'm not one of the higher up peoples around here, so I may be proven wrong. If Arcones, Leo_V117, Venima, Hirato, Mike, Obsidian, Gr1m, as they are all known, answer this post, you should definitely listen to them.

You can really do anything you want with Sandbox depending on how well you know how to code. So yes, you can do all of those, it just probably isn't that easy yet. Lucky for you, there are people making improvements weekly, so in time those features may be implemented. How soon is the real question XP

Up front I'm just gonna say that, yes, it is all possible. You can take out the edit mode if you send it to a friend. I'd ask Damiandj about that

yes it it possible my friend and me are working on a map together using coopedit. But yes you can do anything I ask for some help with my game and I will give credit were it is due when I finish. The game is great and you can make one too.

Just to add something on to Arcones post. You can remove edit mode by erasing the command key for it in defaults.cfg

But what about the menu edit toggle button?
