A waterwars question...

I'm thinking about a waterwars map, but I don't know exactly what's going on with waterwars...
The name is self explanatory, but I need to know more. What do we have? How far? Bases? Can people die (lava, etc)
You get the idea.

EDIT: I might change this to the actual map post after a while, if that's the case, someone's gonna have to move it...

Well...
The general idea of water wars is either a CTF or DM. You´ll have HP and when it gets to zero you fall asleep and wake safely in your base (to keep it kid friendly).
I believe the weapons were supposed to be a couple of guns and some waterbombs...

I could possibly make a map ot two too, but is there any prototype about how the shooting and waterbombs things are gonna work?, because otherwise its hard to make a map, if you don´t know how far you can throw a bomb etc.

Well...the water wars batch file has been created in the SVN but that’s about it. It hasn’t started production yet...I’m guessing the developers put the batch there just to tell us it’s not forgotten and it’s still planned to be created.

@Siim: Yeah, that's true. Ehhh... What's a DM? CTF = capture the flag, got that, but DM... huh?
@Arc: Thanks. I'll wait a few more days, then see how it looks.

Well, to talk a bit about it...

It's kinda like more of a wilderness map, so I don't have any buildings. I've got a river, a lake, a valley with quicksand, volcanoes, a secret cave, an underground labyrinth, and cliffs. I might have to mapenlarge it, depending on how it goes.

I'm wondering how you can make quick sand...maybe have a rotating image like the water texture and elevator triggers...sounds fun :)

Well, it's not really quicksand...

I make a spot that goes down, noclipped, and then put respawn on the bottom. I put Hirato's sand texture on top.

But still making quick sand would be awesome with elevator tiggers.
