WTF!? This only concludes my hypothesis, 2.5 is better then 2.6 :D

Hey guys,

Here is another wrinkle....

My main operating system is Linux (Ubuntu). Guess what? The code will not work on the multi-platform version of SB 2.6 either. Version 2.5 works like a charm.

note: All previous posts were results of running on Windblows XP.

"PizzaLover101",

Looks like you may be right.

I will uninstall version 2.6 (both Linux and Windblows) and continue with version 2.5 and Sauerbraten.

Thank you everybody for you help in this matter. (I'm relatively new to this forum stuff, if I cannot figure out how to close this post, can somebody pass on the instructions?)

I'd prefer a version of 2.6 with 2.5 coding. Anyone agree?

Agreed :P and anyways, 2.6 has too many bugs in general :P

this was a bug, it'll be fixed in revision 2660
This is not the result of "changed coding"; that only affects the RPG

now, what's this rubbish about us not supporting Linux?
I'll let you know it's the only operating system I use :P

Hirato,

(off topic) What flavour of Linux do you use?

Debian Sid (otherwise known as "unstable")

Ah, yes. I am familiar with "unstable". That is why I switched from windows to Ubuntu about 2 years back. I believe I actually downloaded a version of Debian before selecting Ubuntu. I'm not sure of the version, but it occupied 14 CD's. I think it was the entire repository? as only the first CD was needed to install. At the time, I did not know enough about Linux to "fine-tune".

One good thing about Windblows. If it wasn't for micro$oft, I would not have found Linux. Best OS (for the price) on the planet! IMHO

I will get off my soapbox now and let you get on with the important stuff.

Regards

J
