Platinum Arts Sandbox - Free 3D Game Maker Forum

Hey, i've got an idea for a game, but i didn't want to learn to program, to buy expensive programs, or any of that stuff, so i came to sandbox.
I need to know if it's possible to make a MMOG first person shooter death match style game?



Also, i wanted to put up an online checklist of things i need to learn so that others could maybe help me out.
Is this where to post it or is there another category or site to place it?

If you want to make a game online, you need good servers, and those are expensive, and it's pretty hard to code which person gots what weapon, so that'll be hard to code

Plus, according to leo, It takes over an hour for a gun to code :/

but it is possible, and i might be able to find someone who can help me with the code?

Do u only want to shoot - or do you want to add
rpg-elements everyone on the server can use ect.?!

I think it's pretty much programming needed for something like that..

atm you only can edit the map in multiplayer-mode - it's cool -
without creatures, elevators and no interactive triggers ect..

i try to explain:
Single-Playing is more supported in PAS (yet)..

I would help you to construct your dreamgame,
but i think everybody here wants to make HIS VERY OWN dreamgame!

So lets all support the good (sharers) programmers
with new ideas & motivation (we got no money!)!

i wanted to add in two weapons that the character chooses before entering the game. These are the only two weapons they can use through the match.
No one can pick them up or use them. There would be no switches or elevators, just good old stairs lol.

I also parlty view this as a money making gambit. Look at other MMOGs like runescape and Wow. If another one could be made, only in the now time, with guns,
then it might turn into the next big runescape. . .

I've had these ideas on my brain for years, but i never had the skills or programs to put them into life lol.

If you want to sell anything having to do with PAS, contact mike first, according to the license

of course! i'd never sell anything without all of the proper permissions in place first.

You could write storylines, then sell them to game developers and get so much percent of the profits, I think.

i don't think a big game company would be very interested in my ideas.


Also, in your signature CP, kamikaze means divine wind. the symbol for divine is also the symbol they use for God.
