Skins resolution

What resolution does sandbox deal with when it comes to skins?

256 (this is what id guess) 512 or 1024?

anything
though we recommend powers of 2 as well as a maximum of 1024x1024

Hmmm I dont understand whats been happening to some of my skins then. I have a high(ish) res skin for a model I'm making, but when I imported it, it went very low res.

I think It might have something to do with the model, because it loaded funny too. Thanks tho

Also, since when did sandbox accept mm3d files? The model for the snagon, unless I'm going crazy was in this format.
