Platinum Arts Sandbox - Free 3D Game Maker Forum

Hello there everyone! First of all, let me tell you that I am all new to Sandbox, and just downloaded it a few days back. I don't know anything about its working, but I'm sure I'll get it from the tutorials. But there's a problem, when I run Sandbox, it functions fairly well, but when I close it, the screen freezes and even the cursor doesn't move. Sometimes, extremely horizontally squashed windows that were open behind Sandbox appear on the top, but they are so squashed that they just look like some thick lines. I could have added a screen shot, but the pc hangs and I can't do anything other than kill the power. Please help me out of this one!

I'm using Sandbox 2.6.1 on Windows XP.

So just as clarification, Sandbox itself runs fine, but it's after you close it everything freezes?

How many applications do you usually have running besides SB when you play?

Normally, the only thing open is the window where Sandbox is installed......

Try opening task manager by pressing SHIFT+CTRL+ALT+ESC(Alternate is CTRL+ALT+DELETE, then click on Task Manager), and go over to the Processes Tab. Right click on sandbox_fps.exe and click End Process. That is, if you can open Task manager.
You could try to tab out when the game freezes by pressing ALT+Tab, then right click on the app in the taskbar and close it. I know this won't fix the issue, but it could help so you don't have to kill the power and restart.
I've never experienced a problem like that before.

I agree with Slayer as I also haven't seen anything like this before. Do you have any antivirus software that might not like SB?

I have an antivirus, but it's one of the best around here, and if it didn't like Sandbox, it wouldn't have let me open it in the first place. In this case, I'm being punished for closing it!!
@slayer: I have tried that Task Manager and tabbing out tricks, and they don't work. But, sometimes, I'm able to minimize SB by pressing the WinKey (Windows Key). But, still, it is a makeshift solution....
