Invisible map models??

The computers I run this on have either windows7 and windows xp (pro). When creating my game I am trying to place mapmodels (trees to be specific) and it seems that when I move the model around the model turns invisible at certain points (almost always height, fairly often just location though). I can't seem to find anything causing this, as they are not aligned with any other mapmodels (I've had some mapmodels go invisible or black in color if they were aligned near another... need to find out why that happens too). I would like to know what is causing this so I can complete the creation process.
