New Guy, 2.6.1, Intel Mac, Missing Textures???

Post by Shorty »

Ok, I have a lot of textures missing.

For instance,,, I open around half the pre-fab maps and there is NOTHING.... all NO TEXTURE....

I downloaded the 2.6.1 folder.

Do I need to download the previous ones as well???

Lil help here?

Also, some general Q's:

Can I use my own 3D models in Sandbox? Say, something from Poser? Or other models?
I need BMX Bike Models and I need some mapped Poser human Models.... would be cool if I could use them here.....

Maybe try re-downloading 2.6.1?

As for the general questions:

1) you can, the models need to be in md2, md3, md5, wavefront obj, smd or iqm file format.

Re-Downloaded 2.6.1 Multiplatform

Also downloaded the intel mac stuff again.

I am also having to use the old 2.2.4 OSX Launcher

Instructions said to rename the multi folder to Sandbox and put the launcher outside the folder.
I did that, and pasted in the Intel Mac Sandbox.app into the sandbox folder.

Still no luck. Is the folder supposed to be anywhere in particular? I have the folder and launcher on my desktop.

Program seems to function properly, however, almost ALL maps load with NOTHING..... others are missing things or have incorrect textures in place

For instance, Island, comes up with a black-ish texture where there should be grass.

Forest, rain is light blue and missing whatever texture it should have, when drops hit the ground they are tiny No Texture squares.
Also, splashing water jumping in and out is missing.

Maps like the airport , train, etc etc are completely blank. Almost all of them.

Really stoked to get crankin on this, but want to see it working properly first.

:(

Any ideas? Tech Support???? ;)

It might be your problem that you're running on a Mac. After all, Sandbox hasn't had much luck compiling with Mac's, so it may just be a compatibility issue.

Ok... so is it not mac compatible?

Anyone running it on Mac? If so on what?

I'm on a dual Intel Mac.

I thought that based on the Intel Mac Binary that this was supported....

Do the Intel folder contents just go into the Multiplatform folder?

As I said, the program seems to function fine, it just seems as though it is missing textures or unable to link them properly

Anyone?

Hmm... check under packages, if there aren't many folders, see how many there are, and give us a list of what's missing.

I could try to upload the folder with all the missing items, if you wanted.

That'd be killer.

I don't understand what's up tho. Am I really just missing textures? Missing a lot of other stuff???

I downloaded 2.6.1 multiple times.

Is the download missing files???
