There is a tutorial on the wiki.
http://www.sandboxgamemaker.com/wiki/in ... ve_Editing (general, harder way)
http://www.sandboxgamemaker.com/wiki/in ... _Editing_2 (easier way, but with software, which everybody who wants to play in the server needs)

Starting the server

There are many arguments that can be passed to the client. The list is a brief overview of them
-c sets the maximum amount of poeple you'll allow to connect
-i Sets the IP used for the server
-m sets the masterserver
-n sets the servername, as it'll appear in guiservers
-o sets whether mastermode 2 and 3 can be activated or not
-p Sets a password for he who wants to take admin
-u set the upstream bandwidth
-d The standalone server executable automatically does this. but you can also run the game as a server if you add -d at the end

i just dont get it

If you don't get it, you can try hamachi too, just make a server (create a server), select a channel name and password, and make sure everybody who you want to coop with is in the server.
Then open Server.BAT (in the platinum arts sandbox folder), open platinum arts sandbox, open the console (`), and type /connect *IP* (*IP* is the IP you have in hamachi, for example 62.123.12), everybody who wants to join you in coop, needs to use the IP of the person who is running the server (.BAT), and need to be in the same server in Hamachi.
Maybe this works better for you, if you've done it once, the second time won't be that hard, good luck
