Pretty water in Edit Mode

Quick question: one time I pressed a hotkey and it made the water look as if it weren't in edit mode. (So, I was in edit mode, but the water wasn't all blocky, it looked realistic.)
Would anyone happen to remember this hotkey?

it's "M", which turns material volumes on and off. You can find it in the quickedit (F3) menu in edit mode, under the "materials" tab.

It also works for all the other materials, such as lava, glass, noclip, and clip. Have fun with the M!

there are a lot of neat tricks with materials, like /editmat water can be done just with /water, and using shift + R, L, G, C, or N puts in Respawn, Lava, Glass, Clip or Noclip automatically. I'm not sure about Shift-G now cuzza Gameclip, though...
