Can you import specific models?

Hi all, I have never used this before, the only thing I've ever done was make Team Fortress 2 maps.
I was planning on creating a massive single-player fantasy world but I don't have the ability to create every single thing I want in blender so I was wondering if there was a way I could use something like Warcraft Model Viewer or any other kind of direct rip from an mmo or another game to just copy/paste buildings and objects and whatnot directly into the game.
Is there a way to do such a thing? Thanks!

First of all, this is in the wrong section. Please post any further questions you have, in the Support Section (I'll move this one)
To answer your question, it is possible to move models from different programs, so long as 1) they are in the format that Sandbox accepts and 2) they are not licensed under something that would prohibit their use in other games (which they most likely are).
Most likely the models you're looking at are copyrighted and therefore wouldn't be usable in your game.

Even if you did import the building models into the game, they wouldn't work very well. For a building you want to interact with (e.g. one you go into), then you would use Sandbox geometry, textures and the appropriate animated models (such as doors). For a building that's just scenery, you could actually just do a large box of Sandbox geometry and then use textures to cover it up. Models are either clipped (can't walk through), or noclipped (can walk through). A model is fully one or the other; for now, you can't have selective clipping.

Well..... You can.... It's just super annoying and rather pointless
Building things with geometry is much easier than most think. It just takes some patience to finish what you started.

Since when did Sandbox models have selective clipping? Or are you just talking about using clip on a noclipped model?

Yeah, that

I remember someone actually did that a while back for their map... WAY too much hassle.
Plus, unless you're good with another 3D modelling software, you can create just about everything you need (bar characters and maybe a few other things) in Sandbox.
