Google Sketchup Free doesn't export to any supported filetypes, but I think Google Sketchup Pro exports to obj.

If you are using pro export the model to .obj format.
Then create a configuration file and textures into the right folders in Sandbox.

If you are using the free version, use something else like: Blender, Gmax, and other software.

Wings3d is the easiest 3d modeler I’ve found --> http://www.wings3d.com/

You can actually get the collabra or whatever filetype the sketchup files have into blender and try to get them into Sandbox from blender. I haven't tried it yet, but it might be worth checking out :) To get the models into Sandbox from Blender there are tutorials in the help section and in the resources section of the forum. Take care.
