Google Sketchup Free doesn't export to any supported filetypes, but I think Google Sketchup Pro exports to obj.
If you are using pro export the model to .obj format.
Then create a configuration file and textures into the right folders in Sandbox.
If you are using the free version, use something else like: Blender, Gmax, and other software.

You can actually get the collabra or whatever filetype the sketchup files have into blender and try to get them into Sandbox from blender. I haven't tried it yet, but it might be worth checking out

To get the models into Sandbox from Blender there are tutorials in the help section and in the resources section of the forum. Take care.
