For textures --> viewtopic.php?f=24&t=200
For Models --> http://cube.wikispaces.com/MD3+Export+F ... r+Tutorial
you can either use md5, md3, md2 are obj all require a cfg file telling it to load textures and animations. Only with obj file format that you don't have to put anything in the cfg just make sure you have it. And always name your cfg's corresponding to your file format for instance md5 - md5.cfg, md3 - md3.cfg. One thing i always do is add my model to "data" - default_map_models.cfg add your model to the end of the list for easy access in game. If you still need help just send me a message.

Re: 1 vs 1 Side Scrolling Fighting Game??!?!?
Thanks,
I did understand something about the models... Quake 3 Engine uses md3 too... model split into 3 parts, lower, upper and head... xD
I have a question... are you busy with some other project or do you want to help me make this ?

Re: 1 vs 1 Side Scrolling Fighting Game??!?!?
i suggest to use md5 models for characters. the benefit is that you can reuse your skeletal/animations on different models its also easier to add new animations to your model.
Re: 1 vs 1 Side Scrolling Fighting Game??!?!?
i dont know if milkshape can export it as md5 xD
but i can use mdl MDL - HL1 Engine
it has everyting in one file
the 3d mesh + skeleton
the textures
all animations
