Hey,
i just wanted to ask if i could make sandbox work with other engines??
sorry if this is a very stupid question, but you will get used on it :P.

it depends... What other engines? If you mean like sauerbraten, assault cube, blood frontier or sth else which uses cube 2 then its not a problem. But I dont think any other will work

Mapping for an id based engine might be possible especially since you can export a map to .obj with /writeobj and in blender you can convert a project to the .map format. That also might even work for a halflife 1 and possibly halflife 2 map, it hasn't been tested. Also the map editor for quake based games is also open source, aka gtkradiant, so since both projects are open source, I'm sure somehow there is a way to make them comparable, though it would require work of course. As far as for unreal, it would be a lot less likely I imagine since the source is closed, though it could certainly be possible with enough brain power. So in theory yes it can, but it depends how much work you are willing to put forth to make it happen. Take care.

thanks this post was very helpfull ^^, i just asking because i wanna a better engine for FPS which i can put my own systems and options, i don't know if it is in (cube engine2). anyway on the vacation i will learn sandbox and work on it more.
