Ist person view- can i do it?

Hi there, Just signed up.
I've been using the boards for a couple of weeks now as a guest, but now I have a question I really need answered.
Im trying to design a game that is set out as a first person shooter, but more similiar to the view you might get in a game such as bioshock 2 (obviously not as well detailed though). So, i'm wondering, can I create a character model of which you only see the hands? also (asuming the answer to the previous question is yes) someone has a model like this (or knows where to get one) I would greatly appreciate a link or way to download it.
Thankyou
EDIT: just realised I posted this twice. could someone please remove the older thread?

you mean through the presence of hudguns and stuff?
I disabled the code, mainly since we lack the aforementioned models.
I'll reactivate it if you can provide the models

Thanks for the reply
if I were to download the original cube 2, would I be able to use the models in that?

Ignoring Obsidians post (sorry) and returning to the topic, If, Hirato, You could reactivate the code, and, we could find some models to "slot" into the coding and create an animation for the model. I guess we could create exactly what you wanted to acheive. I am also attempting what you mentioned (using the Cube 2 models) but I lack the coding experience in order to acheive this.

Isn't it simply just searching through cube 2 code and putting it into platinum arts code? I mean, cube 2 had weapons visible...
I'm a very quick learner when it comes to programming, but I don't really have the time.

Nope, im also a very quick learner. especially around programming. But, slotting the coding into place requires some more coding alongside it.

Even when the coding for Platinum Arts is based on the coding for Cube 2?
Anyway, is there a reason why ThePortlyGentleman shouldn't use the Cube 2 engine instead? Apart from it's lack of keyboard shortcuts.

Well, considering this is the 2.5 version that were currently using. If Hirato would allow the code to work, then in 2.6 youll be able to make that view possible.
