Dear community,

i have to announce that i will retreat from the MovieCube development. I was working on this project mainly for my own purposes for several years but it seems now that Machinima is somehow riding a dead horse.

However, I used the MovieCube and the Cube2 Engine for making visuals in several projects. It was more a work in progress than something like a mature and stable project. Now after serveral projects where I used MovieCube for making visuals it doesnt fit my needs anymore. So I decided to retreat from the MovieCube development and start a new project, which is concentratet on implementing mediaplayback and mixing capilities inside the Cube2 engine. The goal is to develop a VJing application with allows collaborative work on live visuals for visual artists and VJs.The name of the software will be CubeJ. As this is complete different approach than MovieCube, CubeJ is developed outside the sandbox repository.

If someone wants to continue the MovieCube development please give a notice to mike or me, otherwise MovieCube (as unmaintained project) will be not part of the next sandbox release.

offtools.

So, your next project will have something to do with cut scenes right?

Would I be able to take over on development? This looks like the perfect project for me to tackle.

Take note... It could also be a one-way ticket to Flight 180... Basically, a suicide train. I had a headache looking at MovieCube, I turned it off and removed it from the compiler after 10 minutes. But, if you want to take over. I wish you good luck.

I know, it could use some code cleanup. I did notice that before. I still want to take over it though.
